Kayla: No, I guess I have. I just, kind of, forgot about him.
Logan: Well, now, I guess, he’s going to do, ah, what? He’s going to submerge himself for a week in water, and then…
Kayla: So, basically, this guy is crazy.
Logan: Yeah.
Kayla: Okay. Got it.
Logan: And so now he’s going to try to break the world record for holding his breath under water, which is nine minutes.
Kayla: Oh, he’s holding his breath? Wow.
Logan: For nine minutes, which would be a world record, so.

Starting on May 1, 2006, David Blaine spent seven days under water. On May 8, he came out of the water, was locked up in chains, and was then pushed back into the water tank. He attempted to stay under water for nine minutes while freeing himself from the chains.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t hold his breath long enough and he had to be rescued.
David Blaine is now in the hospital recovering from his seven days under water.
