2. Read and Prepare - Read the introduction and prepare to hear the audio.
It’s a strange feeling when you find yourself standing next to someone famous. Your throat tightens and you feel anxious. You think, “Maybe I should introduce myself. Maybe I should say ‘hi.’”
Have you ever met a celebrity on the street? What did you do? What did you say?
Listen as Zach tells me about the celebrities he sees in his neighborhood.
Dialog

Dave: Zach, you’re from L.A., right?
Zach: Yeah, I live in West Hollywood.
Dave: Ah, so, you see a lot of celebrities around?
Zach: Yeah, occasionally. Um, my favorite sighting, I think, was the other weekend, I ran into Ozzy Osbourne.
Dave: Oh, no kidding.
Zach: Yeah, he was going in the grocery store, ah, with his bodyguard.
Dave: Limping into the grocery store? Shuffling slowly?
Zach: Yeah, his head was, kind of, pointed straight at the ground. You couldn’t tell if he was about to fall over or not.
Dave: Yeah.
Zach: But, I see a few people at the grocery store. Fred Savage, I think, ah, lives nearby.
Dave: Fred Savage, from The Wonder Years.
Zach: Yeah, he was in The Wonder Years. He was also “The Mole” in Austin Powers.
Dave: “The Mole?”
Zach: He was the “number two,” the guy with the big mole on his face.
Dave: Who else have you seen?
Zach: Let’s see. I think, ah, Andy Dick lives nearby, also. I’ve seen him coming home with groceries in his hand. Ah, I see people over at the old Farmer’s Market.
Dave: Yeah.
Zach: Third and Fairfax. They love going there.
Dave: Is that the place to go if you want to see celebrities?
Zach: That is a very good place to go, yeah.

When I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I lived in the same neighborhood as Josh Hartnett. I used to see him at Bryant Lake Bowl, a popular bar and bowling alley, and just hanging around the neighborhood with his friends. Of course, my female friends swooned everytime we saw him, but no one ever approached him to talk.
