We have so many great breakfast foods. Some people like their breakfasts both sweet and savory, so they eat some fried chicken and waffles with lots of syrup. Other people like eating simple, healthy foods for breakfast, like fruit and oatmeal. But ever wonder about our furry pets? Do they get to eat more than animal food for breakfast?

There is a very popular picture on the internet of an adorable kitten and a tiny stack of pancakes. It isn’t eating the pancakes, but it is licking the butter. Apparently, a boy made the pancakes for his girlfriend’s kitten and took a picture for her. Some people might think this is over pampering. But if we can enjoy a big breakfast, why can’t our pets?

Kelsey saw the picture of the tiny, adorable kitten and its tiny stack of pancakes. Listen as she and Marni discuss in today’s English lesson.

Marni:  Kelsey. You have got to check this out.

Kelsey:  What?

Marni:  Look at this picture.

Kelsey:  Oh, my gosh!

Marni:  That is a kitten…

Kelsey:  Ohhh.

Marni:  Licking a stack of tiny pancakes.

Kelsey:  Those are tiny pancakes!

Marni:  They are very tiny. And that is one adorable kitten.

Kelsey:  That is so cute!

Marni:  What… what is going on there? Who does this?

Kelsey:  I don’t know. I guess it says that this boyfriend made a stack of tiny pancakes for his girlfriend’s kitten.

Marni:  Uh, I guess that’s love or, maybe, over-pampering… I don’t know.

Kelsey:  Maybe, but it’s adorable.

Marni:  It’s pretty adorable, but I also then wonder, mmm, you know, is this healthy for the cat?

Kelsey:  Yeah. I don’t think it’s healthy. But the kitten is just licking the butter, so maybe…

Marni:  Hmmm.

Kelsey:  Maybe, she’s OK.

Marni:  Yeah, I don’t know, this might be affection gone awry. I think, you know, you can love someone but, you know, making their kitten tiny pancakes… I don’t know.

Go Super to Listen Go Super!

Marni tells Kelsey to check out a picture of a kitten licking a stack of tiny pancakes. Kelsey confirms that the kitten is very adorable and that the pancakes are very tiny. Kelsey thinks the picture is too cute. Marni is a little confused. How did the kitten get its paws on this tiny stack of flapjacks?

Kelsey read the story about the picture. Some guy made the pancakes for his girlfriend’s kitten and the picture went viral on the internet. Marni thinks it could be love, but it also could be over-pampering. She wants to know if it’s unhealthy for the cat. Since it’s just licking the butter, it might not be that bad. Either way, it’s adorable.

What do you think about sharing breakfast with your pets? Have you done something special for a furry friend?

It is acceptable that sharing my breakfast with pets without in the same dishes. The pest would eat  what I eat in its own bowls . in other words, what I would share with pets is the food but not dishes.
