Believe it or not, spring is almost here. And in most places, that means warmer weather and less rain and snow.

Some people find the rain depressing. But for others, it’s a perfect excuse to stay inside and curl up with a good book or watch a movie. For Beren, rainy days are even better than sunny ones. Listen to her explain to Dale why she loves the rain so much.

Beren

Dale: Did you see the rain today?

Beren: I noticed. It was raining cats and dogs.

Dale: How do you feel about that, when it rains?

Beren: I don’t know. I don’t ever get the blues when it rains. I actually kinda like it.

Dale: I do too. I mean, last week it was sunny, it was beautiful, it was a perfect temperature. But when it rained it just kinda cleaned everything off.

Beren: Exactly. A nice little drizzle.

Dale: Well since you like both of those, which one is your ideal type of weather?

Beren: I think I might prefer the rain, actually.

Dale: What do you do to pass the time when it’s raining? Play video games?

Beren: Watch movies.

Dale: Watch movies? Just stay home?

Beren: Totally.

Dale: What did you do today since it was raining?

Beren: Watched a movie.

Dale: Well it seems like the winter’s almost over. Are you excited that the sun’s gonna be up all the time?

Beren: I like it a little…I don’t know…a little downpour here and there. It doesn’t really bother me. I mean, we’ve had so much sun. And it hadn’t been hailing. We haven’t had any, you know, rain…

Dale: Snow storms in a while. Thank goodness.

Beren: Totally. So it’s kinda nice. I mean, the sun’s nice, but…

Dale: Oh, the rain is great. I’m more productive in the rain than I am when it’s sunny.

Beren and Dale talk about the rainy day they just had. Beren spent the day watching a movie at home.

Both Beren and Dale like the rain. Beren says she never gets depressed in the rain. She enjoys staying at home and watching movies when it’s raining. For her, rainy days are even better than sunny days.

Dale likes the rain because it makes everything feel clean and fresh. He also says that he’s more productive when it’s raining. When it’s raining, you’re more likely to stay inside instead of going out.

Are you more productive on rainy days, or do you find the rain depressing? What is the weather like in your country?

Actually,i don't like rainy day at all!

coz,if it's raining,everywhere will become wet,and it will become very uncovenient if u want to do some concrete things outdoor!

i prefer sunny day…LOL…thanks to it's getting sunny two days ago here ,in Fuzhou!it's really comfortable to enjoy the sunshine!^^

For me, rainy days make me feel calm, but sunny days make me feel happy. So,I like both of them, especially, sun light is just coming out after a downpour because at that moment air is very fresh and sun is shining

In Taiwan, the northern weather and southern weather are really different, although Taiwan is very small. My hometown is in the north, and it usually rains a lot in winter, including downpour and drizzle…However, I’ve been studying in the south for seven years. The weather is usually warm and sunny. Every time when I came back to my hometown, I felt kinda uncomfortable. I think I prefer sunny days to Rainny days.

Well, sometimes I prefer rainy days because I can remember my childhood, doing simple things. Nowadays the time pass much fast and usually we don´t have time to watch a drawing, reading a book, so in the rainy day we can find out it again. Here in Brazil, the weather is hot and sunny but is commom in the end of the day it´s raining.

i too like rainy season to some extent. i often find myself bit moody through out this season which lasts for almost 4 months in my place and water remains on roads and every where else when it downpours which create disturbance to the traffic due to poor drainage system .... JAI SHRI RAM

I prepare sun more. Then it's rainy i'm very sleepy and lazy… Then it's suny the mood is better and life seems brighter. But I like the summer rain. It's very nice then one moment it is sunny and hot and after a while it beguns a strong rain. So after this rain everythere you will feel fresh.

... rainy days are nice as fare as thy do not last too long. I like the sun more then the rain or the snow. How ever, all depends on the doses . We had now rain for almost 6 weeks (more or less) so I would like to see the sun for a while to refresh my sun account. I is almost empty.

Rainy days…they are so beautiful and joyful when you are cozy and safe at your home,you can watch the rain through the window while drink a cup of tea…but if these days continue for long time the most of people get the blue and prey to stop it.the man likes variety,that is a fact.I remember a few years ago that I was a teacher I wished it had rained cats and dogs through the year.could you guess why? because I was a supper responsible teacher…

Personally, I agree with Dale, rainy days make everything feel cleaner and fresher, and I also feel more productive because I can´t go out so I stay at home and do some work or just study. On the other hand, I think that the sun make people happier and for that reason I don´t like when it rains for many days without stopping, because I start to feel sad…
