The differences between "need, request, requirement, and demand":

If you "need" something, you have to have it.  If you want to come to englishbaby, you "need" a computer.

If you request something, you are asking for it.  "I would like to request a computer because I need it."

If it is a requirement, it is something you need.  It is a requirement to go to school to get a degree.  You require a computer because you need it.  You make a request for it because you need it….it is a requirement for school.

Demand is different…  If someone takes your computer and will not give it back, you demand that they give it back.  It is a foreful way of telling someone something.  It is not a question or a request.  It is you insisting on something.  You demand it.  If someone spills a drink on your computer, you will request that they pay for it.  If they say "no", then you demand it.

I hope that helps : /
